CRANK CASE VENT VALVE--- E46 , M43

AW MAN:cry:.... NOW I HEAR MY CRANK CASE VENT VALVE NEEDS REPLACING, coz the car idles rough.... does ANYbody have some DIY tips on replacing this , preferably with pictures, as i do not really understand the names of parts to be removed.... anybody...please..

Your CCV or otherwise know as PCV (pressure control valve) is under the intake manifold, its a mission to replace and you will have to take out the intake manifold. Its probably harder to change on a M3 because of the individual throttles. Check on e46fanatics.com for a diy.

On the M43 it is easy as pie, its a couple of covers to take off and some bolts need to be loosened, should take you about 30 minutes to complete. I needed to remove mine the other day to inspect the DISA valve.

If you are really stuck give me shout then maybe I can help with the install.

:argh: i had to dismantle my whole engine to have a look the other day...
