Hi Guys

Wondering if anyone has transported an engine by courier, and who is the best? I usually use time freight.

A bit worried on this one, price, as well as tne fact its a full engine with ancillaries etc. Should I ask the seller to put it in a crate?

I don't have the first clue of what the best way for it it be transported in is?

Will be from Durban to Cape Town or JHB if it goes straight the engine builder.

Well when i watch shows about cars being rebuilt, the engines that get delivered to the builder is usually in a crate.

So i guess that would be the safest option.

I've used Orex Express a couple of times to bring stuff from Durban and Rustenberg to Cape Town

Not a engine, but a hard top and a set of rims, and everything was delivered on time.

Stacking the motor in a crate would be the right way to go.

You can shout this guy Wayne, he's running the show down here in CT. 0837841723

motor needs to be on a palet minimum... I would call around for quotes not all couriers will move something that heavy... they will also advise how they want the engine packaged

See if he will package it on a pallet, and will look around fro quotes.

If you're interested I have found an m30b34 for my e28 :woot: now to see if this is all viable
