That guys was right. The E30's batterYwas flatter than the interrest in my bank account. R1000 later and new battery in, and ..... IT'S ALIVE !!!!!!!!

What is it with BMW and batteries this weekend.

I popped out to the shop yesterday with the E34, parked, locked the car and when i returned... bam.. battery in the key is dead.

So there I sit. Unlock manually, and the alarm goes off. Car refused to start

Had to phone for a lift, get home, pick up the spare key, go back to go fetch my car.

Better than what happened to me a few years ago - had to replace the battery in my 'dishwasher' (corolla), and then literally a few weeks later the car was stolen. Still had to pay RCS for the new battery for a few months! LOL
