Its not an m1, it has no relation to the previous m1. It is a 1 series M, like x5 m. Basically all they doing is taking a 135i, making slight cosmetic changes, changing the suspension, increasing kw and torque from the 135i engine and believe me, not by much. I read in a car magazine it should have around 245kw. You can get more from remapping or chipping a 135i. Theres no way they can make it more powerful than that cause the 135 already gives the M's a hard time and they will not make it faster than the current m3.

No... I sound like a blathering fool who wants to see a new M1 created.

I was like wow then realised its just BMW trying to squeeze more out of the 1 series platform...

135i M. What more do you need??

I saw the 1 M Series last Saturday the 2nd of June driving past that main road in front of Grand West, spectacular. Maybe just the orange color not the hottest.

Nice pix. I never liked the shape of the original M1. But like Kisho explained, we are talking about two different types of cars M1 vs 1M...family but different heritage.

The wheels are slighlty off putting, stanbding next to it, knowing it was built in the late 1970's......
