All the South African built E34 M5's and 540i/6 start with "BB"

The M5's are BB77000 ---> BB77264 (265 cars) and the 540i/6 are BB82000 ---> BB82071 (72 cars)

The build designations are - M5, HD98 and the 540i/6 are HE98

BB82001 was the second SA production 540i/6 built.
