Was a Good Turnout ya really enjoyed it... but was extremely hot thats y i left at 3... Next Time I'm going on the track :excited: enjoyed the parade laps tho will put pics on later

I reckon any other make of car that was there must have felt slightly out of place! Just need to do my usual crop and remove license numbers and will upload - only took pics around the parking area. My point'n'shoot doesn't do cars in action too well...

It was awesome. I missed out on the parade lap, had no BMW to drive. Watched and counted how many took part.

179 BMW's in the parade laps,
93 BMW's were still parked behind the pits during the parade.
That's at least 272 bmw's there, I didn't go count in the other parking areas.

Thanks Shiraz for the event, and Auto Atlantic for taking part in the event. I love that Frozen Edition M and the M with the wide bodykit.

What a great day for local BMW fans!!! Arrived fairly early, half nineish I think, set up the MLE inside the pit building, and parked the M5 with the Fanatics cars. Managed to watch all the events, have plenty chats, check out all the other cool cars, pick up some Fanatics stickers, join the BMW Car Club, wolf down a couple of boerie rolls and plenty liquids, and puff off to Sea Point for Schwarmas and ice cream. Then still managed a sunset drive through Clifton and Camps Bay. Home at half seven, a very satisfied, sun burnt, gut busted, and tired individual. Was great seeing many familiar faces, and meeting new ones. Want to thank all the Fanatics' guys for welcoming me to the "family", and a big up to Shiraz for organising this wonderful event. Roll on 2012!!! :thumbsup:

P.S. Although the weather was hot, we should be thankful. We could so easily have had rain or wind. I think we are pretty lucky the Gods are BMW Fanatics too!

I heard someone in an "old" 5 series pranged their vehicle on the parade lap. Wonder if its this one? Is that white paint residue from the tire barrier?

Yes it was this guy.

He tried to show off by doing a doughnut and he totally failed.

With little kids in the car he deserved it.

That's what it looked like to me, certainly not from contact with another car - I heard that there were some youngsters in a vert that were the cause of this mishap somehow, not sure though... Sad, this car looked nice when she arrived earlier!

Okay, that was my initial suspicion when I snapped the pic but wasn't sure, then heard the other story - yes I do also remember it was a whole family in that car when it arrived! Stupid, stupid thing to do - so yes, epic fail!!! :slap:

The date on my boss's laptop was wrong at some time and all the emails he sent me came from the next day, the future. Who says you can't time travel :mmm:
