Just some videos I came across..

Modded M3 DCT vs stock CLK63 black edition
M3 looks strong... but what's the spec on this clk63 black edition?

<param name="movie" value="
"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="
" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And then the same M3 vs a modded 335

<param name="movie" value="
"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="
" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Not bad for a few small boltons.

one more

this time the same M3, but taking a modded C63
hmmm.. 63 is a beast

those cars sound evil!

I think it will be a while before we see c63s modded like that locally.

take it one step further.. The 335 is doing extremely well.
If we do the math, it should run as well against the clk63?
BMW ftw!

I saw the SL63 Black edition at JIMC.... Apparently that thing is a beast! No mod cons as in the CLK and others, just bare bone racing edition with acres of CF spoiler kits! Apparently they'll throw in leather in stead of alcantara, if you beg!

There is no SL63 Black Series. Only a SL65 version.

Yea, That baby is a V12, hey! Specs:

6-liter V-12 biturbo engine, outputting an electronically limited 670 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. Left unchecked, AMG's engineers reckon the engine would produce 885 pound-feet of torque.

Define 'electronically limited'. Why don't they say it max out at 670hp?
(My polo in that case is also 'electronically limited' to 20kW.)

Then again, AMG alway had the ability to give Mercs more torque than needed. I can recall two examples: On one of Jeremy's shows, AMG boosted a Merc to a point where the stability control functions of the car would not even let it take off cause of the eminent wheelspin and loss of control that might occurr...

2nd: One of Merc's earlier (2000ish) concept cars were equipped with enough torque to apparantly create a wheelspin when you accelerate from 160km/h to 180km/h. Luckily (or not) I have not seen that car near production stage, but some gimmics in it were added to the S class.

As for the stock C63, I had a 'unintended' dice with one in town earlier this year. If I were on the ST forums now, I would tell you how I kicked him in the dust...but sadly, I were left in a cloud of unburnt C63 fuel smoke...

Limited, I suppose to prevent novice drivers to have too much power underfoot! I think that will soon change, if tuners have any say about it!

It's to give the transmission a longer lifespan. My old SL65 was off the hook with the remap. With the tranny in comfort mode and cruising 130kmh and flooring it to overtake, my traction control light was going haywire on a dry, midsummer day.
