The x1 was delivered today, now the question in the JHB area, who can do a QUALITY clear wrap on the front and mirrors to protect the car! At a reasonable price.

Now if only we had a forum sponsor who retailed a 3m based product with a 5 year warentee that had OEM approval.... :)

Just a quick question, I see on some white cars with VPS, they tend to turn yellow after a while, and you can clearly see the lining. Is that normal?:fencelook:

It is indeed the case that they yellow.

The 3m product does it far less then then the cheaper films, but yes, it does yellow after about 2 to 3 years, depending on maintanence done ect. But that is the case with any paint protection film.

What makes it actually look worse, is that when you do a partial bonnet, the line where it was cut actually picks up dirt and stuff, and then its even more noticable.

So your answer is, instead of doing a partial bonnet and fenders, do full, then it is not noticeable at all, and is good for the lifetime of the film, which is warenteed up to 5 years.

Ok, I did my whole car VPS, but was a dakar yellow so wasn't as noticeable:rollsmile:

Yeah the cut of line with dirt in it drives me crazy:argh: So doing the whole car was well worth it:rollsmile:
