Clarkson reviews the M4

Not certain if BMW would select "B" team to develop their flagship model....

For 70% of the article I do not agree with him.....he does not even mentioned how epic it is around bends...which is a big part of the M3......

My worry — and I mentioned this too — is that BMW, like every other company in the world, has a limited pool of talent. And if the brightest and the best have been drafted into the hybrid projects, we have to assume it’s the B-team that is charged with developing the car

Thats just clarkson being clarkson...

hilarious, "That is because it had been painted in quite the most revolting colour I’ve seen. BMW calls it Austin Yellow, suggesting that it would have suited an Allegro back in the day. And it would. But Baby Diarrhoea is nearer the mark."
:roflol:

and from Clarkson, this: "I honestly haven’t enjoyed driving a vehicle as much as this for months......... Which means the M3 and the M4 can be bought once more by people who simply want a seriously good car." means good

A lot of what he says is true to some extent but he always exaggerates …
The colours are terrible though :flyfun::roflol:

That being said, fans/haters/purists will always hate on the new version for changing too much or not changing enough.
Remember the V8? It was blasphemy back in the day.
Then the 1M, similar thing there.

Give it some time, once the dust settles… pick your poison.
Can't go wrong either way

Build quality and finish has a lot to be desired in the new 3 series......

Having owned the E36's & E46 I was shocked how this has gone so downhill. Even the E90 though part of the decline was put together much better

Wake up BMW............

Thats just Clarkson being himself, who remembers the review he did on the E60 M5 on top gear, he made it seem useless at the beginning, "but then you press this button" and he went into all the strengths of the car.

Never the less, i saw a blue M4 yesterday that car looks like porn in motion...

My 1er with 7000km - no rattles!
My 2012 Lux had 60 000km - no rattles
My 2013 M Sport 20 000km - no rattles...

The leather is of good quality and afaic the only medium exec interior that even comes close to the 3er is the new C Class.

Have you ever noticed how much the new 3 series weighs? No? Go have a look... You think BMW did that using an anti gravity device? Customers want faster, lighter, cheaper, better, greater and perfect cars all whilst paying less for the products. They dont want the same dynamics as the previous gen car, they want more, they also want more power and all this whilst making less CO2 and using less petrol...

still does not coincide with the price VS the feel of the product.......I opened the boot and I thought it was a Toyota...........no gas strut

The Germans are known to be precise & prodantic.........

Bring back the premium ........... not this shoddy offering.

PS they are getting large and heavy. The current three is more like a previous gen 5.
