Hi guys,

So apparently the Citroen DS4 THP200 has the same/similar engine to the R56 N14/18 right? Would said Mini HPFP fit onto one? Just asking for a friend,

Thanks guys!

Yes, same engine and the HPFP is the same, there are two different pumps though just check which one he has. One is oval in shape the other is square.

Also Goldwagen sells both pumps for R3800 and it’s a Bosch pump with a warranty vs the R15k BMW or Citroen wants so try that as well, know of several MINIs running the Bosch pump without issue.

Goldwagen has a parts finder on their site, put the Citroen’s details in snd see if it spits the pump out, you can add it to the cart snd checkout and they mail you a quote on the spot for the item.

Yeah I figured man. Logically they should be the same. I tried Goldwagen, but they want R13k for the pump as well.

What the hell, I assumed that if one pump was R3700 the other ones would be too!

34692 - R3695.00 (Fitted on the Countryman and Paceman)

I ran two quotes now for the square units -

33950 - R11 595.00
34125 - R13 495.00

Why does the countryman get such a cheap pump and not the hatch, clubbie, vert etc.

Best price from BMW for the square pumps is R14 700.00 I queried it today.

I'm assuming the countryman is not the S model then? I found that Montana's GW sells them slightly cheaper, still R10k, better than the 18k Citroen wants. Hence why I like BMW and Toyota lol. Thanks for the help man.

Circling back on this I did some reading.

There is a overlap in the production of the LCI cars on the MINI side - Post 2011 the Cooper S Hatch, Convertible, Clubman, Countryman and Paceman all got the N18 treatment. However the Countryman and Paceman got a revised cheaper Cam Follower based HPFP.

And up until late 2013 the Coupe / Roadster and JCW models of the Hatch, Convertible, Clubman and Countryman and Paceman had a special "canadian spec" motor which was a combination of N18 and N14 parts. So for example it was an N14 motor with an N18 intake for example but these motors still got the old 2007 HPFP.

Then in the last year of production it gets a bit muddy as the N18 motor got a proper N18 JCW motor spec which had the revised Cam Follower Style HPFP alongside the Countryman and Paceman in the Hatch, Convertible and Clubman bodies.

This is the normal HPFP, which is around R10k as you said:

And this is the revised HPFP which is around R3700:

I am not sure if Citroen / Peugeot bothered to update their pumps or if they stuck with the original expensive pump.
