cic rebooting

howsit guys

i drive an f30 with the std cic idrive unit
im having a bit of an issue with my idrive, it tends to restart at time. ive sent it in to bmw and they changed the idrive unit but still rebooting. it was doing it when my usb was plugged in, i then changed the usb and it was fine ut all of a sudden it started rebooting with a cd in now. so removed the cd and seems to be fine well no rebooting but now.. when playing a track from my usb stick if i get a call or it goes to the pdc screen, when returning to the track listing the cursor or highlighted track that was playing well its not there instead it starts at the top again but the same track is still playing. when i switch the car off and start again then it then goes to the multimedia menu to select usb, aux etc. its abit annoying..

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Did they replace the radio as well? Could be the optical cables as well not sending or receiving enough signal. Just my thoughts

My advice to you, as I had a similar issue and also had my radio replaced.

Remove the CD, buy a new USB ensure that only audio files are stored on it, remove your phone from the device list and do not reconnect it.

Let's see what happens from there.

i had that problem with my audi where it couldnt read a 32gb sd card

done that, hasnt restarted yet but doesnt keep memory of where it was with regards to music track. if i go back or try change the tone settings or moves to pdc screen when it returns it just goes to the top of the list of songs n not the one playing or sometimes to the previous folder. and thats with a new usb

I had issues with a 32GB, switched to a 8GB. Mine also goes back to the top of the list if there's more than 50 tracks in that folder.
