Choice between 2007 and 2008 E90 320D

The engine model of the 2007 one is M47/T2, so in deed the old one.
The power output between the two is 10kw (130 vs 120), so the question is really if there any major improvement on the N47? I tried to google, but not much information on what was improved.

Maybe I should just flip a coin :bangdesk:

The 2007 will definately be the 115kw m47 engine. BMW brougt out the 130kw n47 engine in 2008, I think in May so not with the facelift so just make sure what engine the 2008 has. If it is the n47 then you should take the 2008. You can call bmw and give them the vin number and they will be able to tell you

Nope not necessarily i got the 130 kw version

I have confirmed with the dealer and checked on the VIN myself.
The 2008 one has N47 engine. Didn't check the 2007 one as I guess it should probably be the M47.

Despite that both car has the same mileage, same Exclusive package, same exterior condition and the driving on both cars do feel similar, as I can't tell any significance difference between the two. So now the question is, N47 Engine + Sunroof + Partial elec seat, and one year difference, is it worth the R30000? Please help....

Nope not worth the 30 k :nonono:

Where can I find 330D within the price range of R160k? What sort of year model will this be?

Here's an example:

330d for R160k

Above is just an example. You should be able to find one with just over 100k KM for around R160k-R170k. Would be a 2006/7 model for that price.

I found this, its 15k more however you can always submit an offer for R160k

http://www.aaautobay.co.za/CarDetail.aspx?id=20128101437-300879

If you check on autotrader you will find many deals around R165 - 170k keep in mind you can always offer R160k. I can also suggest to check autotrader, gumtree and aaautobay daily thats one way to find a bargain 330d. You will be looking at 06/07 models around 90 - 120k km.

I'm based in Cape Town, where cars are generally slightly more expensive than JHB, but let me try Google more and see if any comes up!
