Thanks to people with this a$$hole mentality I bought a car with quite a few chips in. I could see it had some, but they only revealed they're true colours(white, on a blue car) after the first few washes. I wouldn't have not bought it, but would've argued the price a little bit.
I know, I know, now you're going to say 'But everyone else does it.' but in the end I believe Ghandi(think it was him) was on to something when he said: 'Be the change that you want to see in the world' - who knows, if you take good care of your car, maybe someone on this forum will buy it from you one day - which means you know it'll go to a good home.
In the end, consider a respray if you want to still live with it for a while. Otherwise don't cover it up before a sale, that's just scaley. If someone gives you your price for your car, they deserve to know what they're getting into. Honesty is always it's own reward.
