Fair way to test is manual M135i vs the 1M

About the chip box.....they always say one gets this & that result....best way to test is to dyno before chip box install..and after chip box install....same dyno....same day....

The stock M135i vs chip box A45 AMG result & chip box M135i vs chip box A45 AMG result looks similar....:tease:

I dont trust the Chipbox results.
They are definitely skewed. Judging by how the Chipbox M135i dropped the stock A45 and the stock M135i stuck to the Chipbox A45, the Chipbox M135i should have taken the chips, leaving the A45 with a chip on its shoulder and a pain in the box.

Didn't know it was that marginal of a difference. I guess it was more gearbox related then. M235i was an auto and M135i was a manual. :idea:

M135i got for the "Fully blown M's".

I have a m235i, had a couple pulls with an m135i auto.
Off the line whoever gets the jump stays infront, but the 235i catchs with after 160. on a roll the 235i pulls a car or two(not to sure about the gap) right till 240km
When you down in durbs pm we can have a few friendly runs if you game:thumbs:

In my stock 435i I had a couple of friendly runs with a mate in his 135i N55 DCT with JB4 (I think he was running ethanol fuel mix too). They weren't proper planned runs, but from what we gathered, on rolling run, and off the line the 435i was just in front all the way until 180 or so, and the 135i jumped me off the line as he was using launch control and I just put foot flat (hadn't travelled more than 10km so couldn't activate LC). Was very surprised. We're gonna test again sometime as I'm not one to draw conclusive evidence from a few friendly runs.

Will let you know if i am in durban thanks for sharing this :thumbs: As i expected the m235i would be in front especially top end from what i have read the engines are the same however the 235i has a steel crankshaft, tweaked intake and exhaust together with a different tune this would explain it pulling away from the m135i. Awesome car the 235i hope you enjoying it as much as i enjoy my m135i :praise:

Your mate's DCT 135i with JB4 is severely broken for that result.

Thought so too :) the 135 has only done +- 30k km or so afaik though . Will have to find another DCT 135 and test one day :)

Surprising result that.
I took a 435i 8 speed auto for a drive and then took my 135i for a drive on the same "circuit" directly after. Took cognisance of the speeds achieved and my 135i was significantly quicker. Up to 15kph in places.

The quickest local A45 (P&P) I know of is in DBN and has run a time of 12.2. I also happen to have had a 2/3/4 pull with him while I was in DBN recently
