Chip Logic E46 M3 runs a 12.3 Naturally Aspirated

FTW the list is not kept by MSA but its a Speed and Sound list kept by Loco. There should be record of the times held so I am sure there is a explanation to the discrepancy of the official results that have been posted online vs the announced time as evidence is required to enter the list with a 1% back up.
Would be interesting to see why there is difference as we are making racing history in SA and would be nice if it was totally formal and above board.

Not sure what happened to the 12.2 run of raymond but in all fairness if it doesnt show on the results, its not fair to claim it.

Regarding Raymong 12.2: We witnessed and heard a 12.2 run. The only thing I can think of was that it was recorded at the end of the event, (passed 4pm) Point taken. I'll contact Ray and inform him. His run of 12.4 stands because he ran a 12.5.

Loco 12.69: I never once said I ran a 12.60. The results speak for themselves, and 12.69 shows. I also never backed it up, that's why my name has not shot up a few places in the list. Apart from the list, I do however admit that I DID run the time of 12.69!

Previous times: All I ask for is proof of times and speeds. If you can furnish these to me, on a proper pdf type format by the organisers (not cut and paste) then we'll accomodate. I always ask for proof from every competitor. Furthermore, no two drivers per one car! - The quickest driver/time is taken into consideration.

You guys need to chillax. So much aggression, you think we're in the 1980's!

@ George..sounds fair. Would be interesting. I think we agree on the critera for this list eg
1% backup rule, different drivers same car etc. This could allow us to all have the same view on who are the quickiest in all the different classes..:)

@ loco, what u saying seems fair as well. If it was past the time, then Cleo is still the quickiest in 6A. I think George is right. SA seems to be stepping up the pace and ideally we shud all be on the same page with the correct list which everyone agrees in terms of the criteria. I think u are spot on that we need to all work on getting the relevant info through and agree on the criteria eg same car diff drivers and backup rules. I know some guys will look at driver times however agree on a criteria and then work on the list and I think we will all be happy chappys..:)

Will be some good racing this year in SA :)

Thanks, I did have a great week-end. Did 12 cars in 2 days at the shop. X6 5.0 rocking massive gains on an independent dyno (new thread for that when I get a chance).

But hey records are made to be broken. I don't think anyone loses sleep about records going down. We have the V8 record for now, maybe sometime someone will stop talking & start doing the breaking. And if they do, no-one will lose sleep, once again. As records will get broken, then broken again & again. We set the pace with the V10 records, 1st in the world to run 11's. And still have the record for fastest exit speed. Which is important to tuners as it shows horsepower.

And we care more for street legal cars as do our customers, but to each his own. Take is easy FTW, up here we don't take this as seriously as you do. It's a hobby. If you win or lose, you still have a great day as there's always another time to try.
[/quote]

Good going there mate! Well done. I admire that. Our transport sector is on strike and you are working overtime. Our salvation lies in education and dedication. That's dedication bro:) look forward to thread :)

Yeah sure, record are meant to be broken...and that's the sport :)..we all work towards that. Yes you have the V8 record for now and we will hope to get that one as well as. I'm sure you will look at attempting similar goals in the other classes that we have as well...so good luck and fair play :) All this competition will definitely put SA on the map if we continue in this way :)

Hope I have been relaxed this far :) ...I do understand its what we all love and we all have a passion for..so let's all of us keep it clean

Just on the V10s though, I would very humbly beg to differ on ur view. I'm sure u know we hold the record for V10s right now we hold it for the M5 and M6 but there is only one V10 catergory so we just hold the record. In the same light we don't look at who set it first..but who set the fastest time..if records are meant to be broken as you say, then who set it first should fade away into an oblivion as it is silly to even mention if u know it has been broken..also exit speeds show potential but does not necessarily give u the time..the car could have the potential like u say..but u need the full mastery of car, driver, conditions etc to get the time. End of the day ur exit speed didn't get u the time..but the potential is there. Let's stick to times for now..use ur exit speeds as potential information to get u the time in the background..with ur customers etc..there is no records for potential, just for the times..so we just want those for now.

Mmm I like chatting like this better :) hope u find me more relaxed lol

You know, abit of ur sarcasm, my madness and fuel from our mates has made this thread really popular overnight..lol..atleast that's a good thing...I think we seemed to have contained this for now...

I'm relaxed, u relaxed...we sorting out the lists etc...let's all be happy and do what we do best...""""Let's Race!""""

:) :) :)

Theres an easy way to settle this .. Have a 6A shoortout at say sports compact, then we can compare the cars on the same day at the same track .

Loco I recognize your 12.6niner. pdf is a good idea as I have heard some horror stories in regard to ODI Excel's.
If Raymond ran that time I recognize that one too because I am not one to go with the backup rule but that's just in my books.
End of the day it is just a list and if that one is the one that guys choose to be on or want to achieve according to its guidelines then so that's also cool. I prefer doing my times over a few events as if there is something wrong with timing equipment at the one event it will show at the next. This has occurred in Natal where over two events the strong V8 and V10's lost +_10km/h exit.

Hey dude, what's up. Will probably come see u on the weekend. Hey SA racing is getting interesting. We all so competitive its definitely gona put SA on the map my man.

CHIP LOGiC : THE TITLES:
To get a Title is easy, but to Hold on to it is Very Difficult! Albert Einstein!, Devash Singh and Rocky Belboa Sylvester lived by that and so do we :) ..We GoT it..come and get it!!
THE CLASS:
6A is not Just a Class to us...its a Religion, and our boys are very Religious about it, so don't worry about what we got...come with what u got and go with what u get :)

Remember this Cleo..You and Devash used to say this all the time lol.

Hey sort the car out this weekend please :)

Firsly a big congrats to Chiplogic on their acheivment. The dream of running a methanol fed s54 lump was something i thought impossible until you guys went out there and did it. Ever since the phenomenal way my car reacted to a nitro methane and methanol mix injected into the intake which blew many a competitor away on the street ,left me hooked on the idea of a full high comp methanol fed s54 setup. Just a few issues stopped me dead in my tracks, the corosive nature of meths and its effects on the internals of my engine ,as i wasnt toO entertaining to the thought of a complete motor rebuild after a few races as most meth motors undergo.A golf or ford motor is one thing ,but an M3:bawling: The mandatory flushing of the motor which would render my car undriveable after every race meet was another and the way meths leans out if not tuned properly:nono:.I even toyed around with the idea of bigger stainless steel valves and stainless steel pistons as used in most methanol fed v8 dragsters but realised that the stainless piston due to its composition would never stand up to the demands mainly cos of the high rev range that an s54 motor lives most of its life at as compared to the slower reving V. Hey but you guys have done it and with with great success i may add.Congrats once again guys.

Well M///achine, Chip Logic is really ahead of the rest when it comes to M Motors and M tuning, they strip that Motor down to nothing and Bulid it on their own, Ob and Cleo both not afraid of stripping a Brand new M Motor just to see what makes it tick or where they can improve its performance, every model of M, Chip Logic has Masterd from Back in 1993, they figure out what makes Power, do the Mods, share their mods, then you see the rest of Durban copying the mods and doing the same times 4 years later! Well they have done my car with Great Excellence and Workmanship, they are currently building a plant to run Full Meths in my E36 3.0l at the moment, best recorded time with it so far is 12.8sec and is the Quickest Normally Aspirated 2dr 3.0l M3 in S.A, just want to lower that time as well:)
My V8 M3 is under construction as well, so I Plan to have that Record as well soon, that's why I deal with Chip Logic, the Wizzardry of Ob and Cleo and if these guys say that they will make me the Fastest, they Always Deliver! To be on Top, u have to do what u have to do :), its Lonely when u on Top too!
To be the Best, u have to Beat the Best, I have the Best and I'm up for any challenges ;)
V8 M3 Record coming up Soon guys...that will obviously be other thread.
CHIP LOGIC FTW!

I am doing some research and came across this thread. The aim of the research is to find the best chip for my Z4M. When I say best, its power and service.

I have had past dealings with Cleo before via bimmerworks when I was still studying, I owned a vtec with cams and induction only. I use to head down to Isipingo every week and drag a few vtec mates. In total we had 5 vtecs, all with different modes and chips. Cutting a long story short, after the chip from Cleo I was the fastest by a huge margin.

The aim of all tuning companies should be to leave an impression that Chiplogic did with me providing humble service and honest power gains.

Back to the research, I have PM and called many tuners for my chip and sadly I get arrogant responses. Again, I believe its more about service than anything.

I have had outstanding feedback from:
Savspeed
Chiplogic

This is my view of the service received standing on the outside as a general client and not with the assistance of mates (contacts! lol)

Well done to Chiplogic!
