Chip Logic E46 M3 runs a 12.3 Naturally Aspirated

Well done to the Chip Logic boys in Natal for getting Mahens E46 M3 to a 12.3sec run on the quarter mile. The time has been backed up with two 12.4 second runs. This is the fastest E46 M3 recorded to date matching the previous world record of 12.3 from a US car. We waiting for final results to be posted to see on the split seconds which car is faster.
I must say these 6's are very impressive when worked.:thumbsup:

Car had racing buckets and I think the door panels where changed to lighter pannels. I am sure it weighs more than a CSL in that trim so maybe a 50kg saving.

Hey guys, I was there!!..this car was rocking!!..Cleo has done it again!! hats of to the Mr //M President..he was there in top form with huge support from Chip Logic fans as they cheered him after his victorious recording breaking run. Lovely day, good weather nice racing, we were slightly dissapointed though as we were expecting some up country competition today. Would have been nice to see some v8s go up against this monster 6A record breaker as we were promised some action from some of our buddies..but let's hope we see some GP M3s soon .

Awesome, what was the exit & what power does it make?

The hit just over 190 exit speed. However there was some traction lost which could be made up and give a us a lower 12s or even surprise us with an 11.9...who knows These Chip Logic dudes R crazy I tell u!.

Lol..I think Cleo will have to comment on the power this car makes as it is Huge..let's put it this way..on a dyno, the car will leave u guessing "wtf" if u know what I mean once again congrats to Cleo and his team and that SuperSilverSexyM3!

Sorry I couldn't be there, I got back from the USA on Saturday. Had a good session with AA, GIAC, etc. Also went to Turner & Evosport. It's logistically hard to come down when you have other business to do. I hope you got to see your own V8's run against the monster 6A.

Either way well done. As an M3 fan, & having owned a few E46's, it's always good to see the 6 cyl run the times. Lee Rutter used to be the god of M3 6A, & now good old ZA is up to that level.
