Chip Logic 335i runs 11.93

Went out testing last night at the Tarlton Regional event. I knew I had too much power but it didn't go as expected. Drove to the track feeling rather confident for a eleven.
First time down wheel spin in first, second and third 12.8. Next run pussyfoot the car to a 12.2. Next run more eager 12.5. Time for eliminations so I dial in 12.3. My first run is against a Chevy Bell Aire driven by a Dolly Parton look alike. The devil in me tells me to lower the boost in order to get traction. Laptop flash and walla I have thrown .3bar into the dustbin. Line up and the car takes off far better than any run, select second and the wheel spin is less, third and it hooks up properly and off I go. Now I have caught the Chev by 320 meters so I have to tap off. I try but my foot says no and I brake out with a 11.93@192.
So now I know how SDP feels. He added a lot of power and lost a second on the quarter. The traction at the track was good so its time to do some traction home work on the car and start adjusting the gear relative boost to make the car consistent and drivable. Target of 11.6@200 has been set for mid year. I like taking baby steps.
Thanks Chip Logic for all the work and thought you have put in and well done for being the first tuning company to break into 11's locally and one of two cars worldwide to have done this with a flash tune.

GONGRATS George, also probably the first x35 BMW to break into the 11's in the southern hemisphere ?:clap::clap: I'm sure there are many more lower 11's on the way! BTW what tyres were you running, assume this was on DR's?

See its time to update your Sig ;)

Thanks man. I was using MT Street Radials 275/40/17. I want to keep these on and use the tuning to get the traction sorted.

Well done Mr. Smooth. I say your car will be good for 200kmh 1/4 mile which should take you to 11.4 if traction is sorted. Try M&H after u finish testing with the MT.

We have some C63's down here running gas, actually 1 is racing tomorrow at Amsterdam. Will post results but I doubt it will beat your times to come.....

Chip Logic, setting the standards!!!!!

Who's 63 got gas ?
Must be a killer
I don't want to mention a name. But from the North Coast. It's not a killer yet. With "software only" it did a time of 12.5 first time out racing on the 2nd run but speed was already at 192.6 which is more than Niron did on his 11sec run. But now the bottle is gone into the boot so it's "bigger". I think it's at an event today.
