Chief Financial Officer- Boksburg
Job Type: Contract 6 months with possibility of full time employment
Position:
As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report directly the CEO. The candidate must be able to assume strategic and operational management over the finance division. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the group. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, Tax, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis, negotiations, investor relationships and private and institutional financing.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
• Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
• Ensure credibility of Finance division by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
• Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation and reporting
• Strong IFRS and group consolidation experience essential
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
• Work with the CEO on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships
• Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory laws and tax reporting.
• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
• Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings;
• Monitor banking and cash flow activities of the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements :
• CA(SA)
• Experience in the industry will be an advantage
• 5-10 years’ experience in a senior management role
Salary: Between R45 000-R50 000 CTC p/m
