Hi guys

I just had an amp and a sub fitted to my E39 530d. I think there may be a problem with the earth cos when I turn on the ignition the angel eyes start flickering like disco lights. Looks kinda cool but I don't think it should be doing that.

Then, once the flickering stops, once every minute or so each side will flash again, taking it in turns from side to side....

Help? :+1:

Are your angel eyes bulbs canbus? ( in other words are they error free) or do they throw errors on your obc?

The angel eyes were recently fitted with LED's. No errors.... Once the angels are on, there's no flickering

Good chance that the bulbs are causing this, or possibly a wiring issue

But it only started last night after I had the new amp and sub fitted.

Then it's the wiring :thumbdo:

Wiring for the lights or for the sound? When we changed the earth around for the sound it seemed to have stopped for a while. Then it came back tenfold

To be honest when it comes to electrical issues on these cars it can get tricky.

The cost effective method, would be to disconnect the sound and see what happens, then try changing the lights back to stock
