Ceramic Pro product questions

Hi All

Has anyone used Ceramic Pro paint protection? Is this a quality product? Would it replace products like VPS? My car is white and I'm told that VPS on a white car tends to turn yellow over time?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Bluntly:

Ceramic Pro is an overpriced gimmick.

We do ceramic coatings that outperform the Ceramic Pro stuff and almost half the price...

It won't typically replace VPS, but a layered approach will give you decent protection too.

My same question, I'm buying a new black car soon and deciding whether it would be better to apply a ceramic coating or have a VPS wrap put on ?

Also toying with the Idea.

i'm busy respraying my whole car, and thinking I want to coat it with the ceramic pro to protect it, but More so I want it to be glossy. Very glossy.

I have never read a bad review. I would like to go with the 9 layer option, but
that's just a little expensive, so I am probably going to settle for 4 -5 layers.

Why not go with fuzz ceramic option at the end of the day it's the Polish that provides majority of the gloss in the paint.

Have the car properly detailed then ceramic coated.

You can get more info from me

The ceramic coating is uniform across the entire vehicle, improves hardness over clear coat by up to 50% on normal German paint - which means that it will resist scratching a lot more. The product is extremely oleophobic and hydrophobic which means it repels oil and water and also is anti-static which repels dust. It comes with a fully covered three year application warranty too - you don't have to bring the car in for top ups, etc like what the Ceramic Pro guys do (that's how they guarantee their product, you have the take the car in and get the product re-applied, at your cost every few months), we recommend the products you can use on it to prolong the finish for up to five years.

Most importantly- it adds an amazing gloss and uniform finish too the car. Also adds immense slickness to the paint surface.

VPS as well as the Nasiol coating we offer each have their own advantages, and choosing between either won't be a bad choice, just from my perspective, as someone who works with paint finishes and the like, I prefer ceramic coatings to paint film.

My only issue with ceramic coating vs protection film, is that the film stands a better chance of protecting the car against sandblasting and stone chips....

This is true, however, I'm running no VPS on my car (except the headlight and fog light VPS which it came with), and just a single coating of ceramic coat.

More than a month on with having done 3,000km I'm pleased to report that I haven't picked up sandblasting or aggressive stone chipping either.

I'm not in any way saying that it outperforms VPS or similar, just saying that a coating that hard typically also helps.

I've used ceramic pro on several cars so far now and all very happy. It also makes maintenance in terms of cleaning a dream. Don't have to wash the car nearly as much anymore as dust barely ever accumulates.

It doesn't stop chips as well as VPS, but it definitely does decrease them. You will still get chipped if a rock hits it, but it has stopped sandblasting from what I can see.

This is with the 9 layer protection though. Not sure how the other packages would fair.

The other bonus is the paint is insanely smooth and shiney! Even more so than after a normal detail with wax etc.

Just had my pride and joy Ceramic Pro'd by Twelve21 Tuning in Pinetown and I am delighted!

Drove 1250km home and after 3 days (to let the bugs set and dry) I just sprayed the car down with my high pressure washer and she was good as new.

I can testify to the smoothness and shine MikeBMW is talking about. The car looks like a diamond and raindrops can't even stick at speed. Dust just blows right off too! Also, if you happen to have really hard water in your area, there are no water marks if it dries on the car. (Sometimes get a drip from the mirrors down the front fenders/doors hours after washing? These will not mark the paint)

The worst part for me was leaving my car with strangers for 3 days..... Even that though was way better than I expected. My car was treated with respect and care and never left the premises. It was moved from the washbay to the treatment area and that is where I collected it. So big up to Twelve21 at the same time. They really care for your car and their customers.
