Hi Guys!

After 10 months of ownership and more than 40 car washes, my car's paintwork was starting to look a little tired and badly scratched....I heard about Ceramic Pro and after a little research decided to give it a go...all I can say is MIND BLOWN.... :praise:

The car looks better than when I first bought it....and best of all the paint is now protected for life! The guys over at 12twentyone tuning did an amazing job (they are the official agents for Ceramic Pro in KZN). If anyone is interested please give them a shout...Schalk and his wife are really awesome helpful car enthusiasts with an eye for detail. :clapper:

Stunning vehicle!
What does ceramic coating entail?

There are definitely agents in PTA...visit www.ceramicpro.co.za for all the info....they coat the outside, engine protection as well as all interior....the stuff is pretty amazing....watch a few videos on youtube about ceramic pro....your car basically becomes waterproof...in and out...water just runs off the surface...water sits on carpets like its on a plate...doesn't get absorbed :skit:

Looks great :clapper:

I however feel that the price point is high, and that you have to go in for six monthly top ups which you pay for - pretty much like Auto Armour...

In essence, it all does the same thing, Ceramic Pro, OptiCoat 2.0, Gyeon Mors+, G Techniq C1 + Exo but what separates it all is the gloss and lasting power.

six monthly top ups and after that ? is it like permanent? No more scratches?

It isn't a force field. The 9H refers to the hardness factor of the coating, with 9 being the highest, 1 being the lowest. It will reduce scratching, at a rate of say 40-50%.

In terms of being permanent, I'm not quite sure.

But on a serious note this does look like an amazing product ... definitely for the OCD types ... Soon someone will be able to apply a layer of sapphire crystal to a cars paint work then bye bye chips and scratches for ever

How much does ceramic pro cost?

And stone chips would this create like a nasty shatter/crack on the paintwork?

On the Platinum package there are no monthly top ups required at all...paint is covered with 9 layers of 9H with a lifetime warranty...I had Auto Armour on my E92 and I can confirm this is much much better than Auto Armour....nothing is fool proof though so I'll give some feedback in a few months :=):

LOL! Well after a bit of research I've discovered that there have been quite a few complaints about the new F82 and F80's paint...many people complaining that it chips easily and scratches easily.....that, together with the fact that I obsessively washed my car 3 times a week during the first 3 months contributed to the scratches :thumbdo:

Wow nine layers! What would that cost?

You'll have to contact the agents...they have different packages with different costs, and I'm not sure if the costs vary from agent to agent...
