Howsit guys

i need help asap Please.

Ok so my mech says the central locking unit in my doors are are not working lekker. he says that the central locking unit is one complete unit and i'll ned another one.

Can i fit an after market central locking unit; if not where can i find another central locking unit; will any e 46 central locking mechanism work or do i need a specific one for 323 ci?

Has anyone changed there central locking; what prices am i looking; OEM and aftermarket.

Can you suggest any guys in JHB PTA that can do it and know what they doing?

Thanks:)

It's called the GM5 unit and is located behind the cubby hole. It controls the central locking, electrical windows etc. You can get a scrap one for R1500 to R2500, but first take out the unit and clean the contact points of the relays. 90% of the time this does the trick.

Google the removal and cleaning procedure. It is a common fault.

My mech says its the mechanism on the door itself; i can hear the relay sending the signal to push the locks up or down.
