Hi there,
I have 2011 X3 3.5 xdrive petrol, as the question was posed by someone else in the thread can I have it done although my car is still on the BMW M/Plan, I am in Western Cape?

The first time I did a Carbon Clean my car was on motorplan. I saw it as preventative maintenance that BMW could not offer and provided that you car is put back together without any damages to the intake manifold or surrounding items there is no foreseeable reason for BMW to void your plan unless they have a problem with those ports being clean.

We can confirm that the plan will stay in place. We don't modify any parts, just strip and replace. We have done many under plan.
Your vehicle will definitely benefit from a clean. The special price is R 2 500 until the end of Oct.

Had this done on my old ED35 GTI about two months ago and worked like a charm. Car picked up on performance too. Marchand gives top service :cartel:

How does one check if this is really needed now? Not sure on the full history of my N55 but doubt it was done and has 137k km on the Clock. Would like to get it done but only when the build up is concerning enough to affect performance. If it is still in good nick I would rather wait.

Your vehicle is direct injection and will have carbon build up, but we haven't done a clean on this engine as yet. Before we can give any idea on price, I would like one of the branches to look at the engine. Is it possible to take it for a quick look?

I can guarantee that your vehicle needs a clean. We recommend it on the N55 engine anywhere from 85k km. Just remember that a carbon clean is seen as maintenance, not a performance mod.

The X3 we can assist with for R 2500 special price but unfortunately we don't do the clean on the M3.
