Car squeaks

HI guys

need some help with my car. its seems my like the shocks(if its the shocks) make a squeaking noise everytime i go over bumps. what can i do to sort this out?

i think its the back. no sure but i'm assuming.

have a look at the shocks and see if any of them are weeping... my car started squeaking when the subframe cracked...

Do you have Gabriel shocks? If yes then its definitely your problem, my car and Andrew's both 318i's have Gabriels and they squeak like a old battle ship when driving slowly over uneven ground.

Check the bushes too. Get the car up in the air and inspect with very good lighting. Bushes will give more of a "knocking" sound, but it is worth checking this too - especially on older cars.
I know the rear shocks has mounts at the top normally needs replacement too.

if the shocks are weeping they need replacing... if the subframe is ripping out the floor you cant really replace it there are plates that you can weld in... its most lightly shocks...

Agreed, but while at it check bushings too. It is most likely shocks.

you need to pay the squirrels more so they dont make noise...

Eish, now I'm not sure...:flyfun:, but I'm sure I changed the rear shock mounts. Funny thing is it only squeaks in the morning or after the car's been parked at length. So by the time I get to the mech I sound insane :argh:

its definitely the squirrels then... they dont make noise at the mech because they scared he might take them out...
