Car Search Help

Hey all,

I'm on the market for an upgrade. Got my heart set on an M135i. Probably 2016 based on my budget and with mileage around the 30k mark.

I've come across the one in the ad below. It has come up in my searches on autotrader/cars.co.za for the last couple of months, which I find strange considering the details.

2016 M135i with just under 13k on the clock for R490k. That's very low mileage, which they claim is due to it being a bank repo.

Anything seem fishy about this to you guys? Anyone have experience with this specific dealership?

Also, if anyone has an M135i in this price range for sale hit me up

I suggest you get the VIN and check with BMW and Coisman.
Price seems right as 2017 M140i's are going around 530k upwards.

Personally, i think with that budget and if you looking specifically at the 1 series...why not the m140i...these are superior machines.

Check the ad below, i did a quick search, also a similar price, lower mileage, better spec, and Alpine white FTW:thumbs:

*edit: from the ad in your post above, the front right fender appears to have had some work (could just be the lighting in the pic), and the m fender badges are missing from both fenders

Wow, well spotted. That probably means it was in an accident. I'll call and ask for the VIN number. If they're cagey about it I'll know something is up.

I personally feel that car should be in the R450k mark.

2016 should have Fender badges for sure.

SO they were happy to give me the VIN. I found a website that "decodes" it, but it just lists the spec, and it is decently specced.

Is there an online resource where I can check for notes or do I have to call a BMW dealership?

I'll definitely try haggle them down. If the car's not a code 3 or something :fencelook:

Nothing online, ask then for the report from BMW. They can send it to you.

No interest in the m140i? :hammerhead:
