CAR REGISTRATION

Hi Guys,

I need some advice, the licence disc of my car will be expiring tomorrow.
The car was registered (with GP registration) by the dealer after buying it last year.

Although I work in Centurion I actually reside in Brits which is part of North-west.
Now I am confused, should I go to the nearest Gauteng Department to renew the disc or go to Brits municipality to have the car allocated a new NW registration number?
What actually is the procedure this instance.

if you got a summons in the post to renew you'r licence,do just that at a post office.

if not, considder changing to NW plates.

o and by the way, how do i get police clearance on a engine without standing in a que for 5 hours.

You don't need a summons or anything in order to renew it at the post office, just the details to fill in on the standard form...

Just go to any Post Office and ask for Vehicle License renewal form. Then fill out the details. Also they will need copy of ur id.

There is no long queue as they is a dedicated teller for license renewal.

Having a GP number plate sometimes is an advantage if you are working in Centurion.
