After the BM Squad charity run yesterday we went round to Car Lab in athlone to view the premises .
So I pull up and we start talking to the guys and a little older guy approaches and we start discussing the 335i and for the next 45 minutes the intricate workings of the 335 is explained to me in great detail .
Next I am told with an absolute gleam in the eye that he is putting an N54 into his E30 track car and the next 20 minutes is lost in an explanation of how BMW spent 12 years developing the N54 engine so that the world could see this is how a turbo engine should be made and that the guys in durban are running the N54 at two bar with stock internals and the engine does not want to break and thy are tracking the car in Canada at two bar as well with no problems etc etc .
After the talk a friendly greet and he is gone .
