Where is the poll?

Whe can have the meet in Paarl, I need to know if the dudes and dudedesses will come to Paarl.
We need to know what day of the month and if (Saturday morn/afternoon etc)

We can point out what we have to have worked on.

If we use the Fitment centre in Paarl, we could ask how many guys would want to have wheel alignment done, who needs special deals on tyres, who would like to have balancing, done, who wants wheel rotation, who wants to decat and that then with (straight pipe or "small silencer" etc....

Did you find it?

Luckily I drive a vehicle that is far quicker than my ADSL, therefore I don't get upset.

Got it thanks..

The idea is to make use of a fitment centre (tools, lifts, cutting torch, arc welder, pipe bender, balancing, alignment, etc, etc.) That is now apart from the or in adding to the magic of some of our Forum Members.

Hellas can help with the braai...

Lets decide on a date and day and confirm the venue, then we can elaborate on the poll... Lets GOOI!!

Maybe the first one should be to look at all the typical problems the guys bring so we can decide on a choice of venue?

Eish guys... I've got a black-tie going on the 2nd and I'm in CT on the 25th for the birth of a friend's baby. And I don't think I'll be driving to CT on the 2nd again. So the 'better' suited date for me would be 25th, though I cannot say that I'd be available that day for any gearbox pulls or offering something on the coals together with a cold one (however tempting that sounds).

I'm down for moral support of my friend that weekend. You know, smoking the cigar, and chasing the nurses down the hallway... Oh wait, wrong agenda. But let's see what happens.

Paarl is fine for me. What is the name of the workshop?

I prefer a date after the Saldanah drags.

The Fitment Centre I am negotiating with is Jumbo Fitment Centre.

They have just moved premises and is now in a very easy acessible spot.

He is a Conti Partner and a flat on the ground one man owner...
Owns a 320D.

Are there some of you guys & girls who'd rather do this on a Sunday?

Might be more difficult to have acces to the Fitment centre on a Sunday, but I can find out.

Meeting on a Saturday means that some "mundane" jobs like Tyre rotation/fitment, balancing, alignment, de-catting, etc. could be done by some of his personnel...

Any body rather meet on a Sunday for this?

The reason for Sundays is as follows:

1. On Saturdays the fitment centres are very busy often running till 3 pm with regular business
2. We would want to use lifts, etc and prefer the place to ourselves
3. Sundays, more people are available to attend
4. If needed I sure we could with the owner for 2 staff, etc depending on what our requirements are
5. We could start off at McDonalds N1 CIty and make a breakfast run there and then chow down on some eggs and breakfast wors Paarl Style....

I will run the Sunday option past the owner... I agree that we should not want to compete with customers and stand in a que to use a lift for example...

There are some Saturdays where he/most of the fitment centres in Paarl would have 2-3 customers for the whole of Saturday..

Saturdays will have the other suppliers (shocks, brake pads, etc, etc,) still open... in the morning. (most shops in Paarl close at 13h00 on any given Saturday) This is Platteland people!

You can put the Sunday option on the poll?

Have a good week all!

I have wheel alignment to be done.

Also, I have a complete centre console just waiting to go in.

And lastly... Well, lastly, if I can get all the parts in time (highly doubtful), we can also do a manual swopout.:)

As soon as we have the date and place set, I am sure we can run a poll with certain "activities" that could give an idea of what guys would like to have done?
We can from there have the magicians.. have a sort of "what will/could be done list made up?

Maybe the first one should be not to heavy, but limited and then we take it from there?

Remember everyone takes full responsibility for his own vehicle and what is done to it....

Come on VOTE Guys & Girls!!!!
