Cant open the bloody bonnet now!

My bonnet was slightly off center - moved it back into position and now I cant open it. Cable pulls but doesnt actually open!

Any help here? Taken the kidneys out, pulled on the cable with all my might, nothing helps...

Never mind, just call me doos - I got it open by pulling on one side of the bonnet... its just popped open.

Almost brought out the hammer...

Dude, I am working AFD tomorrow as well as Sunday - I'm only off next week Friday again. I've been going since new years day.

Oh bugger, that happened to me one, cable came undone so was just lose, luckly it happened just as I opened the bonnet and I didnt close it. If so, they mech said it can be a bitch and sometimes you need to take the fender off for access. I know the E30 you can open the bonnet from the outside by hitting the latch with a screwdriver, maybe search to see if its possible with the E36?
