Can’t figure out the issue

Hello,
My 07 328i was throwing p00bc codes and I replaced the MAF, code was cleared and it came back with the car shutting off when I come to a stop, we checked the DISA units, and they where both bad, we replaced them. The car ran smooth than went into limp mode. Keeps throwing the maf sensor code.

When we were replacing the DISA one of the wrenches hit the positive cable by the passenger side. And it sparked. Could this had caused the DME to get damaged? I’m at a loss...

Sorry, never knew we got a 328i on the E9X series...

Try and get codes read using BMW specific diagnostics. The 'P' codes are generic codes from generic diagnostics.

Also check if all the intake hoses are connected correctly and no vacuum leaks.
Have you cleared the codes?
Was the MAF sensor replaced with a new one?

Seems like the OP is from the States not SA, they got the 328i in the E9X chassis.

Didn't notice that!

So a tricks to check if there are any vacuum leaks around the intake is to spray brake cleaner around the intake pipes avoiding the actual intake, while the engine is running.

If there is a leak, the idle with spike or drop as the spray would have made it in through a leak.

I was also surprised with an E90 328i when I went to the States in December.. Snapped a pic just because.

So the car is at a shop that only works on German cars, mostly BMW'S, They mentioned that they can't figure it out. They are getting someone that will record live logs and see if it is the DME, I am at a loss on what it can be.
