can i remove insides of catalytic converters on e60 m5 without any problems there after?

Why?

You need to remove the Cats anyway to hollow them out. Why not just replace with resonators?

you will probably have to use software to make the ecu happy again... dont hollow out this leaves a large void in the exhaust that kills exhaust velocity fit pipe to resonator in place of the cat
