I have an old e36 328i automatic that has 313,000 on the clock. She is not throwing any engine codes. Over the past 6 months with the cruise control set to 129km/hr, she has been changing down to a lower gear on any uphill, even slight uphills, and she has never done this before. This forum pointed me to Vanos seals being the problem, so I had the seals replaced (Beisen System seals and fitted from Axis) but this has not solved the problem. Any views will be most welcome. Thanks
