the overall build, ride and handling of the BM is on a different level.

But in the review they specifically state that the interior and handling of the BM don't justify the price difference...

Not sure about the Camaro, but I have sat in the new Mustang and the interior finishes and build quality are beyond terrible. I wouldn't even spend the R750k asking price on it after sitting in one.
I really don't have an issue with the Lumina's interior, but that's just me

I saw a owner review of the hellcat and after a few months he pointed out the torn bolsters on the seats and other random stuff that had quality issues. Can't remember the rest but a YouTube search should find it. Still a awesome machine though, must me amazing to drive or frightening...

Don't want it because of the seats. Want it because 700 horses! SEVEN FREAKIN HUNDRED!!!!

Also, I REALLY like the way it looks.

The problem is the asking price in South Africa, not as much the car or interior quality.
You can get into an entry level Mustang ($24,645 for the V6 Fastback) in the USA for much less than an entry level 3 series (320i in the USA at $33,450). In fact, you can get into the GT Fastback 5.0l V8 for less than the 320i.
In SA, they start at R714,000, which means it has to compete with the top op of the range 340i or mid range 430i.

Feel like you are paying too little for your Mustang in SA? No problem.
You can add the Shelby kit stating at R665,000 on top of base price. Only R1,378 900 for the 2.3 Ecoboost...
Want to pay more? Enter the Super Snake kit, which starts at R1,248 000. For the kit, car excluded.

Yup, we get screwed in SA. But back to my original post. Question remains, if we lived in the States and given the price difference of the cars along with the power/handling similarities of the cars, I would actually take the American car.
M3/4 aint the game changer it used to be.

That's what the review says too, and what is worrying me.

It's a difficult one.

I am all for power at the sacrifice of luxury and comfort, but the new Mustang takes cutting corners to a whole new level.
No idea with the Camaro, but I do believe Chevrolet does a helluva better job at building cars than Ford (based on a simple comparison between Mustang and Lumina).

I may just be able to justify in my head why an M4 is so much more expensive.
