If I lived in the States and had to choose between the two, I'm surprised to say, Ss for me.
You guys?

The review does not mention the latest ZL1 model. It makes a lot more power and is still 20000USD cheaper than the M4!

477kW, 868Nm, six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic, Magnetic Ride suspension, electronic limited-slip differential and selectable driving modes make it seriously fast.

The Americans have come a long way. :clapper:

Have driven the Camaro whilst on vacation in the States and i must say the finishes on the car on not fantastic at all... Yes, performance is one thing but the overall build, ride and handling of the BM is on a different level.

10 speed, inspired by movies like Fast and furious no doubt...

I rather like the American performance cars, Mustang GT350R for me please.

Very true. I really like the idea of a six litre OHV V8. Here in South Africa you can only get it in a Chevy Lumina. Every time I go look at one, I open the door and is greeted by this:

800

Uhm, no thanks... :skit:

It may have more power than a M4 but quality, class, and engineering to perfection is another thing.

Couldn't agree more. Power is not everything. BMW M never claimed to produce the fastest cars in the world. Some of its standard 6 series models (& most other cars out there in that category)are more powerful than the M3/M4. Its the full package that excites us. Its a track car converted to a street legal road car with performance, agility, driving dynamics and a bit of luxury. Each generation of the M has been an improvement from the previous generation IMHO.

While power is not everything, one can only admire one thousand horsepower madness like this:

And if that is not quite enough, you can have more:

An internet search for one thousand horsepower BMWs came up with this:

To be fair, a 1000 hp E46 M3 did turn up:

So what exactly is class? The American is on par with the BM in terms of power and handling, however is significantly cheaper.
