HI Guys,

I went to look at a 2011 E90 330d Msport with 192k Kms on the clock. Has harmon kardon radio option , electric seats.

Car is clean and has new tyres, new shocks all round. Gearbox fluid and pan has been replaced  as per the owner. Decat and DPF delete has been done and coded out of software.

Went for a drive, car feels solid, pulls like a train. No knocks on uneven roads or when turning. No rattles.

He has had it since 148k and only drove it on weekends or long trips the 5 years he owned it.

Are these cars any trouble when getting to higher milage?

These engines are quite reliable if they have been maintained well, my 330d currently has the same mileage and still drives perfectly.

Just bought my 2010 330d with 235k km on the clock 3 months ago.. best decision ever... if service history checks ✔, then don't hesitate, pull that trigger..

Ola maleven-GP, I'm looking to buy a 2011 330d. It looks awesome from the photos but I haven't been able to view it. I need some advice on how to check out the cars service history, how do I actually verify the history?

This will be my first Beemer-Diesel and modern car purchase, I'm coming from owning a hand-me-down Opel Kadett 200is so I need as much advice as I can get.

Is this the black 330d from Bloemfontein?

Yes  it is
I am looking to buy the same car and the fault codes have been cleared.

I Have E90 330d motorsport 2011

Bought from Forum 3 years ago on 107 000km.

Car is on 224 ...km only problem was Damper pulley.

But solid car you would not go wrong and service history is important.

Best off luck with your search.

Gentlemen, there is a 330d currently being sold on the forum. I think Kyle is selling and the car looks really good. Get hold of him ASAP.

If you buying a 10 year old car "msport looks" should be last on your agenda.

Buy according to service history on a 10 year old car, not looks

Rather stay away, clearing codes does not always mean the problem has been fixed..

I have to agree with this 100%! If you are buying second hand cars, you can't be overly picky, or picky about the wrong things, because you might just slip up on otherwise good deal. The mechanical integrity of a used car is much more valuable than a bumper with a diffuser...and even more so when it comes to diesels.

Not to mention the right maintenance items have already been done by Kyle. So definitely a win  :tiptoe: if I had the funds or parking space this would have been in my garage already

Forget about msport my friend. The car looks solid and sporty. Maybe it's the wheels and paint color, but it just looks right. I used to own an e90 330i lci exclusive pack. Even today that car looks proper!
