Jeeeez how are u guys getting that consumption?? My old man with his granny driving in his E93 M3 DCTwas getting about 14l/100km. With my driving it was sitting around 20l/100km!
My friend has a manual E90 M3 and its definitely better to go in and his consumption is now 23l/100km I think :flyfun:

When i collected my car it was 23L/100km, pure traffic and mixed hard driving its low 16Ls now. I can get it lower if i tried but i hardly every drive on the highways

My E90 M3, and now E92 M3 have both averaged between 12.5 and 13.5 L/100km. I drive them hard, most of it is highway driving though.

Just can't take that dive in..scared that I might get frustrated going to petrol stations 24 7 with that v8

You seem confused.

They are thirsty cars no doubt but your decision on buying an M should not be based on fuel consumption alone, again, they drink fuel which is evident from the comments provided in this thread.

Why not go the route of another Audi, those TFSI engines are lovely from what I have been told, S3 maybe?

Otherwise, take the plunge and buy the M and have regrets later. Feedback given is more than enough in this thread, the final choice is yours ultimately.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll come out smiling in the end with whatever choice you make.

I think you should take the plunge, nothing like an ///M car.

Perhaps maybe wait it out and see what happens with the V8 prices once the new M4 is launched, doubt it will affect it adversely though.
