Buying advice E70 X5 or F10 520d

Hi Guys

Need some advice. Looking at getting a either an E70 X5 3.0d or an F10 520d. Budget is around 150k. Seen a few cars advertised within budget (Pre LCI X5) and with under 150 000km on odo. . Will be daily drive , and serve as family car as well. . Have 4 kids and the absence of transmission tunnel in the back on X5 does make a small difference. Any advice on maintenance on the two , running costs , reliability , common issues and costs on these will really be appreciated.

F10 is newer than E70
E70 is generally more expensive to maintain
2.0d is cheaper than 3.0d
3.0d E70 has more power than F10 2.0d

I suspect E70 is wider than F10
So for your application, E70 would work better.

If I were you, I’d go for the LCI,
They sometimes pop up for around that price.

Morning Mr Booi

I am driving that E70 here and I don't want any other BMW, this car is sooo satisfying especially I am a home boy too. I travel a lot to that big Eastern Cape and sometimes I take my E70 totally off-road if you know what that means 😂f
For me I would say go for it as well, you will never feel sorry especially if you could get a good one like I did.
I bought this machine 2 years back and I'm going for a 3rd year now without a y issues except that I decat it early this year.

I did that decat myself after a long research about X5s that aren't the same as ours here in SA.
