Hi Guys,

My brother is pulling the trigger on a 435i f32 2014.
Car is at Pharoah Auto in JHB.

Details:
2014
74000kms
White
M Aerodynamic pack
Motorplan expired last year
They say no comments
Vin: WBA3R12060KT32421

Just wanted to ask, is there anything we should look out for, any checks/problems?
Price is R375k
I think the deal is pretty good, i do not think resell will go down a lot in a year or two.
Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks a lot
Shaun

The vehicle has had a few important components replaced during motorplan.

Check gearbox oil pan for leaks as this was done twice during motorplan.

Another thing to mention is the I-drive screen. Was replaced on this vehicle.

Other than the above, I think it's a great buy as it has excellent service history and low mileage for the year.

Edit: to add, there are no accident comments on this vehicle.

Common checks on these models are:

Oil filter housing leaks
Valve cover leaks

And that seat belt extender can give way (looks to be functional in the pics though)

Looks to be a clean and well specced example (HK sound is missing)

Alternatively, if you brother is not fixed on a coupe, there is a well specced 335i on the forum with some MP remaining

BMW motorplan will be expired. Make sure you get a Maintenance Plan from Motor Happy or Liquid Capital. Otherwise if it breaks, you pay an arm and a leg.

Howsit bud,

Things that would possibly go wrng on the N55:

1. Oil filter housing gasket
2. Vale cover gasket
3. PVC Valve
4. Waterpump
5. Fuel pump (HPFP)

Look out for any weird noises, hesitation and jerkiness when driving the car. Also, you want to check the oil level and check the service history and compare its oil usage too...they shouldn't take oil unless it already has leaks.

This car, the bonnet is not aligned well, it is leaning to the right side of the car more and the middle gap to the bumper is wider than the receding gaps...shown on 3 pics on autotrader. I would then look very closely at the engine bay for any signs of an accident or replacenet o any parts could possibly be a small blow over or accident damage.

Good luck!

Great cars!

There are I think two for sale on the forum as well if you are interested, actually 3 that I can think of.

All the best!
