Buying a jb4 secondhand

Hi, is there anything to look out for whem buying a jb4 secondhand?

It is definitely not advisable to buy (used) tunes. But there are some good ones being sold on this forum sometimes.

The problem with Jb4 piggybacks especially N54/N55 is that they get modified to suit the purposes of the owner...such as adding or splicing for the use of meth/NLS/Antilag/speed defeat etc. Some of these Jbs become badly hacked.

Ask the seller to provide detailed pix especially of the plugs and the inside of the board. That will give you some indication of at least the quality.

Just make sure you take the JB4 back to its standard settings. For example if the guy had a back end flash on his, you will need to swop from 4/3 to 4/2 when you install yours.

Also the setup could be totally different on his car for example single turbo. So you need to update to the latest correct firmware for your setup.

Data cable with micro USB otg connector R400

Bluetooth rev3 on its own R2000

Brand new Anti lag kit & Brand new Jb4 chipset Processor R750 ( both parts are unfitted) the processor has been updated for those guys wanting to run port injection/anti lag etc

Or you can take everything for R7k and i will include postnet to postnet shipping..i see you are based in p.e so unfortunately i cant assist to install it for you
