Hi guys I drive a SmG that thump at the back is normal but under normal slow driving conditions you can learn how you change the gears smooth without that noise and heavy kick ... That normally takes place when you keep you accelerator down or not lift off the pedal enough and change the gear, in all essence the Smg is semi auto, it is like driving a manual and keeping your pedal to the floor and changing gears so there will be harsh strain on the drivtrain all the way to the diff ... The trick is drive the smg like a manual when you hit the paddle release the accelarator then look at the gear indicator to stop flashing to notify you gear is engaged then accelerate again this gives smoother s afer changes
