What do you guys think, This car is for sale in jozi somewhere.

I called the guy to chat about it. These are what he said, weather its all true or not….

Its his semi daily ride, goes very well and no problems.
It has had a transplant (328i) and started life as a 320i
it doesn’t smoke but has a power steering leak.
The mods : Its been dropped, has full exhaust,m3

Am I looking for trouble?

Howdy,

Thats kinda like asking how long is a piece of string....

It depends fully on how well the transplant was done, how was it dropped ect ect, did the guy put in a set of H&R's, or did he heat up the springs with a blowtorch and sat on them ?

Its good value for the money, but if the engine is being held to its mounts by a coat hanger, your going to have trouble.

On the other hand, if it was done properly, you have no worries.....

my best advice is to take the car to a mechanic who knows what he's talking about...

Hi there,

I would not touch it. For R35k I would rather drive a clean '95 316i/318i than a transplant job.

Depends on your needs though. but I agree with zaleonardz that you must organise a mechanic to have a loook at it.

Good luck with the decision.
