Build sheets for older bmw's

My local dealer cannot print comprehensive build sheets for e34 or e36 cars from the vin numbers . Is there anywhere that the info can be found . Seems BMWSA do not list pre 2000 models .

what is a build sheet? Have ETK running on my PC, i.e get all parts part numbers etc like at the delaership, can that help?

A build sheet is a piece of paper usually hidden in the back seat that has all the specific options that car was fitted with at the factory.

I have only ever had one BMW where I found this piece of paper and never knew what it was or how amazing that it was still there tucked under a fold of leather underneath the back seat after 12 years.

aaah ok, know those, can help you decipher a e12 one, they do them there under the seat and behind the dash

You don't by any chance know where it would be on a e24

e24 should also be under the back seat
