Breaking 300 wkw at KAR with a pneumatic M135i

Let me explain something quick. When you race a car do you race at low rpm or high rpm. Looking at this cabs dyno graph this cab will be shifting in the power band everytime.

Compare this with a stock turbo power graph. Pneumatic M135i torque peaks early. Below 3000rpm till just after 4000rpm. Then it looses hp aswell after round 4500rpm. Same mods stock turbo the pneumatic will get small jump on ewg. After 4000rpm the ewg will just keep pulling away.

In my opinion this turbo upgrade done exactly what the stock turbo failed to do in 1st place.

And more importantly, u cant race by dyno graphs.

How's the lag when on the road? Would be nice to see this go against another strong pneumatic.

I fully agree that in a drag race this car will be quicker.

However I never said drag race. I said "on the road" implying that during normal driving, where you will spend 90% of your time below 4500rpm.

So then, the build suites the owner perfectly. He hasnt modified the car for it to be quicker cruising down William Nicole but rather when racing.

I must add, that with the 8spd box, this car does not feel laggy at cruise speeds at all.

Congrats on the achievement! 300wKW is insane.

Agree with Shix - an m135i with the 8 Speed auto box feels very responsive (judging from the stock turbo ones I have sat in).
