Ok guys, I am going to try and finalise the route this week. Seems that the majority vote is out to Hermanus, which means at least two tanks of petrol for me :roflol:
There is a SLIGHT possibility I may not make the entire run, it is my daughter's birthday and I leave for Dubai on the Monday. However, I will make sure that there is a route and will pass it by management on whether or not I will be there. I will try at least to be there for the meet up and some photos!!

Ok guys, so it seems that a run to Hermanus is the overwhelming vote at this point in time!
There are two options. The first, meet somewhere in Rondebosch or the like, something relatively central for all. Then out on the N2 towards Somerset West, over Sir Lowry's Pass, along the N2 until the R43, take the R43 down to Hermanus. In Hermanus we regroup and have a light breakfast for those who want to, not necessary for everyone, take some photos and mingle for a bit and then disperse from there. Alternatively, off at Somerset West and then along the R44 through to the R43 and on to Hermanus.
The second option is meet in the parking areas close to Greenpoint Stadium. From there, through Camps Bay, down past Hout Bay, over Chapman's Peak (there is one stop and go at the beginning, toll cost is R36), into Fish Hoek, then past Kalk Bay, returning up to the N2 until Somerset West. Off the freeway at Somerset West and along the coast road (R44) until the R43, then down to Hermanus. It is a lengthy route, but with some of the best scenery and driving roads in the world.
I will get exact distances for the 2 (may as well call it 3) routes for the run. Let me know if everyone is happy with that!!

The second route is 203km's long (just about the range on my car's tank!:roflol:) but is a spectacular drive.

How about this as an alternative? This route takes you down baden powell drive all the way along the beach. This should cut a good couple of kms off the trip and still make it pretty epic.

Just my 2 cents... :fencelook:

Another quick question...

Will there be stickers, caps and t shirts available for purchase on the day?

 :fencelook:

I'm not 100% sure if there are shirts and caps available at the moment. I'll double check and see if there are any. Stickers I know are available, so I will follow up on that as well.

As far as a meeting place is concerned, I am open to suggestions guys, this is a democracy so whatever is best for the entire group and just a few. I'm still relatively new to CT so I'm not sure what's central etc. So I'm kinda relying on you guys to guide me.

Ok, I'll leave the meeting point up to the majority and whichever is most mentioned will be the meeting point.Or I can start a poll?

The last Breakfast run to Hermanus we met at N1 MCD's, hit the N1, turned off on the R300 and then caught the N2. We regrouped at the Engen on the N2 and then turned off to Gordon's bay just before Sir Lowry's pass. then we went around the mountain and off to Hermanus...

That route only really became scenic closer to the end of it... I'm loving the idea of going around Chapman's peak and going along Baden Powell to join the N2... Very scenic drive, mountain and sea...

Bugger a poll is best.
I look forward to this event. Nice.

Ok cool Twinz, I'll put the poll up, seems like it's most likely gonna be at McD's but will give guys the option. We can go through town and make some noise off the buildings

Erm, don't think I can retrospectively create a poll on this thread. Charles can you maybe assist please? Or one of the mods? Two options, meeting places for either Century City or McD's N1 City!
