Guys, I think we will stop at the Engen on the N2 just before the Macassar offramp. It's got a bigger parking area for us all to occupy. We are also meeting a couple of the Fanatics there, so makes sense.

Here is a map to show where we are gonna meetup and park in Hermanus (same place as we did in Nov '10), its big enough for all of us.

https://maps.google.co.za/maps?sadd...Y8Nn17A;FRDW8v0d3qMlAQ&t=h&mra=ls&via=1&z=15

I noticed the link keeps moving Point B. Here's the correct parking spot:

Just note Carbon that the big gravel parking isnt there anymore. Its a big mall complex now.

Maybe check for parking on the cliff front. But usually its full. Theres also parking more to the harbours side which isnt as full. and a nice view for photos

Yep, watch out for cameras guys!! They still love to sit under the trees just after Peregrine Farm Stall (the one after Orchid), and also at the turn-off to Hermanus off the N2. Fixed camera at Hawston and they love to trap along the way into Hermanus! So best is to just stick to the speed limits!!!

Good choice to rather stop at the Engen along the N2 - the Shell garage the bottom of Sir Lowry's pass is going to be a nightmare to get back onto the road again!

Trust me its not there anymore. Theres a Col'cachos (Spelling?) and few other restaurants there now. You can ask Soloman too as he lives around the corner

Hi guys, I'm not sure, but there's a new building, I think Woolworths, there where you marked the parking spot. If you look at the circle on the corner of Royal and Lord Robert street, there's a big 'cream coloured' area on the map, that is a big parking spot, and is almost always empty.
And the guys driving past can adore you guys's cars.
Its just across the road from the mall.

I'm going past there tomorrow afternoon to fetch my car from Solo man, so I'll check it out and let you know.

Or, if you check on the bottom right corner of the map, where Marine drive make a 90 deg turn, there's also a nice parking lot, next to the sea, just a bit far from the restaurants.
Just that flippen annoying people with there little (looks like credit card machines) come running to you when you want to leave "SIR SIR, you owe us R1.75 for parking here for 15mins"

Haha my hometown Paarl's town centre is filled with these leeches also.Haven't paid a single cent in over 2 years now.they (the guys collecting the money with their little calculator/invoice machines) all hate me for this, but I've never been penalized for it EVER!!!i think what they do is illegal anyway, like the e-tolls in JHB!they simply can't enforce it on you!!
Keep trying suckers!!!

Guys, as mentioned there is a new Woollies where you want to park. Use the parking area that Stiaan mentioned:
"Hi guys, I'm not sure, but there's a new building, I think Woolworths, there where you marked the parking spot. If you look at the circle on the corner of Royal and Lord Robert street, there's a big 'cream coloured' area on the map, that is a big parking spot, and is almost always empty.

It is the United Church parking area and i am sure they won't mind. Church should be finished by about 11 o'clock.
If you are coming via Kromco and Houwhoek pass then i will probably see you as i will be going the other way. White E90 330d. Have a nice day and safe journey. (The Woollies parking area is very small, maybe twenty cars and it is usually full)
