Rain or shine this run is going to be epic! Of course it will be so much nicer if we have the clear windless weather that we've had so much of in the past few weeks! Rain was coming down with absolute furry earlier this evening!!! :argh:

The run will still happen if its raining. I went with Zoopedup in Dec on their run to hermanus and it was raining hard, the whole route.

Btw, the X5M isn't coming anymore :(

Nothing wrong with some damp roads if you can hold a tailslide

The road we're going on you don't want to slide. There are blind hills and drops you just won't come back from. I drove it a few years ago last in the 318i and it happened a few times that I think 50-60km is slow enough for a corner and then I find I could have gone even slower.

It is and AMAZING drive though as I'm sure a lot of members will know. I can't wait :thumb:

I still can't believe I won't have the 540 for this :( Turns out the clutch is lying up in J'burg since the 31st. If they shipped it out the 31st then I could have had it this morning and then my mechie could have made a plan to fit it today. Anyway, I'll give the 318 some TLC tomorrow as it needs it.

Why isn't Jandre on that list?? I wanna see his 540 in daylight. So he better show! :)

A quick heads up guys.

I live in Somerset West and this last few days they have gone crazy with cameras on the N2 as you come into Somerset where the speed limit drops rapidly from 120 to 70, and up to Sir Lowrys pass, also coast road leaving Gordons bay, so take it real easy going through here.

I'll be checking Traffic fines, cameras & updates in Cape Town on Facebook before we leave :)
