Oh, thanks old Buddy, the parcel arrived sooner as what was planned. He came on Saturday evening, so Grabouw is out for me this time. I will try and meet up with you guys at N1 coming from work. Just have to see Garth's hard work. :=):

Hope my gearbox can cope...the TCC have been slipping from 2nd to 3rd..

Having gearbox problems myself. I replaced my gearbox yesterday but it seems to be fualty as i bought a second hand box. It makes a winding sound almost like a supercharger :rollsmile: but as soon as I press in my clutch pedal the sound goes away. I'm sure its not my release bearing as im using the sames bearing and it didn't make this sound with my old gearbox.

So yah i'm off from work on wednessday and i'm getting another box that needs to go in.
So hopefully if all goes well I'll see you guys on sunday :thumbs:

Damn, was looking forward to this one, but now have to organise and attend my best friend's last minute decision to have his bachelor's party this Saturday night. I am the best man, he is a truly great friend, so can't let him down, even though his timing sucks. Doubt I will be in any sober state after this party. To the guys who are going, enjoy the run.

I reckon it's a conspiracy :fencelook: that your mates always organise something on a Saturday before a run :grin: Enjoy! Don't forget the hike on the 8th of March (Thursday) (If you are still keen).

It's the same car. The guy that bought it drove it for 2 weeks and then the gearbox gave in so he didn't want the car any more and I refunded him. The car was standing since last year and it was at the time I got married so it wasn't on the top of my list to fix the car at that time.
Anyways I pulled out the car a week ago gave it a wash and bought a new gearbox.

I can't make out why the Vangate guys are leaving at 8.30 and the N1 City guys at 9.00. Vangate to Engen N2 is much quicker than from N1 City. Zaki, how say you?

I first thought the vangate guys will meet up at N1 and then all will drive from there back to the N2.

Still not 100% if I can make it, but if I do I will meet everyone at the engen just before somerset west.

N1 City convoy to depart at 8:45
Vangate to depart at 9
then both convoys to meet at the Engen 1 stop on the N2, leave here at 9:30

That's my 2cents idea. It makes it more realistic to do the above

howsit guys. I see some confusion.
as carbon has commented. That was the idea the whole time. Its on fb with the times .

But vangate will meet at 8h30 for 9am depart.
n1 city, is suppose to do the same, but if everyone is there and its very full then by all means u guys can leave at 8h45. Nigel will meet all u guys at n1 city.

The best route to drive will be to drive towards r300 from n1 and follow r300 all the way to n2 where its a short drive to the n2 one stop, engen garage.

the plan is to leave by no later than 9h30, from the n2 one stop.

Nigel will be incontact with the me whole day, so i will know wats happening every step of the way.

It's not only a conspiracy, it's my routine drinking night. Why don't we do one of these runs on a bloody Saturday? Didn't know you were doing a hike on the 8th of March. Please PM me the details.

Wheelworx said that the plan is to leave no later than 09:30. So maybe around 9?
