Brand new M3 damaged

Took my car back to the panel shop yesterday for an adjustment and came across the following. The story goes...


Guy buys a brand new, out the box, "nat nuwe" M3, with folding metal roof, paddle shift transmission, etc.

He takes delivery and drives home, parks the car in his driveway to admire and probably show the rest of the family / girlfriend, whatever. He gets out, but does not engage park.....

The result

Does not look to bad does it?

Get this, the damage is R89 000.00! Apparently CF bumper hangers, etc, etc.....:shocked:

I would literally SH!T myself!!!!..or :drink::drink: myself to death!

I'm with SirSparky on this one. He doesnt deserve to drive that car. He is a tit and a half! How do you make a mistake like that.

Kinda like our MP's. They wanna buy the most expensive BMW's., but end up wrecking them, why? cos they cant drive!

Here's hoping that he insured it before he took delivery (well its a requirement)

How did he manage to get out the car without putting it in park? The keys cannot be removed without the selector lever being in park? I dont even think the newer BMW's will let you turn off the engine until the car is in park...as soon as you try, they automatically select park electronically...

Hmmmm...I think this is more a case of trying to wheelspin out of the garage in reverse

Shame man, a silly mistake but still was just a mistake. Though if i was in his shoes i would have thrown myself infront of the moving car to save it from damage.
