HI Guys

What would be the best make to put on my car?

or should i just got o bmw and pay R2800?

If anyone knows good brake pads i can buy let me know please because i can fit them on myself

I had a set of aftermarket "cheaper than dealer" discs on my old 320d, and teh hubs of the discs rusted, which looked absolutely crap!

I recently did my front brakes, discs were R500 each, and the pads were R980 for the set. So you can save R1000 almost, just by doing it yourself.

I bought from the dealer hey, so the box is just white with the bmw logo on it. I bought 2 x discs, and a set of pads (4 pads in the box), total was just under R2k.

I did notice that the calipers on my car are stamped Brembo

ATE is not bad at all. But the key here is DIY to save the labour.

Do you have them on your car?

I will do them myself.I have done the front ones before
but not to sure about the rear ones is it difficult?or is it the same as the front ones?

On the E36 M, ATE is the OEM part for the disc's, break pads, break sensors etc.

I heard BMW just rebrands these ATE parts ....

can anyone confirm this...

Could be. Sir Sparkie had them on his E36, but he had ones with a very nice groove pattern. If you got disks front and rear, the procedure is the same. :thumbsup:

ATE is what was installed in the factory, except it has a BMW logo. The DIY shouldn't take too long at all. :thumbsup:

looks like ATE it is then.I quite happy with that because ferodo has disapointed me.Will let you guys know how good ATE is
