Brake Shudder

Hi guys, I recently noted that i am getting a shudder when i brake at a high speed. Not sure what will cause this as i have good disc pad life and the front rotor disc was skimmed some time back.
If i need to replace the rotor disc, which brands must i stay away from and which should i consider
